2024-25 O-Pee-Chee Checklist & Additional Details

The 2024-25 O-Pee-Chee checklist hit the web today, which is a good indicator that the scheduled release date of February 19 will hold true.

Via GoGTS Distribution, click here to download the checklist for Excel or here for a PDF checklist.

GoGTS also posted this image that previews some more cards:

I already wrote up one preview of the set, but here are some new details from the checklist:

Glow-in-the-dark Glo-Pee-Chee cards are back this year with a checklist of 20 cards. The 2016-17 OPC release included a rare Glo-Pee-Chee insert set of 30 cards. I believe those cards were an unannounced Easter egg, but not so for this year’s set. The odds of pulling one of these hobby-exclusives are not given. I expect them to be pretty tough, perhaps one every two cases. Five rookies get the Glo-Pee-Chee treatment, but Upper Deck apparently needed too much lead time to include Macklin Celebrini or Matvei Michkov.

Photo variations of select base cards, which have sometimes been Easter eggs in the past, are also listed on the checklist. 20 players will have black and white variants, five rookies will have draft-day photo variants (but again no Celebrini or Michkov), 15 players have post-game three stars variations, 20 players have goal scoring celebration variations, and 20 cards will have helmet off photo variations. These are all hobby exclusives and odds are not given.

The O-Pee-Chee Premier insert set will again feature 100 cards that includes 25 rookies. Celebrini and Michkov are thankfully included.

The ninth consecutive year of the playing cards insert set features Nathan Mackinnon, Nikita Kucherov, Auston Matthews, and Connor McDavid on the Aces. It is the first deck to not include Sidney Crosby on an Ace. McDavid is the only player to get an Ace in all nine decks. Kucherov gets the honor for the first time.

Celebrini is confirmed as the player featured on the bounty award card for those who collect all nine puzzle pieces and redeem the codes. The first 25 to redeem get an autographed version, and the next 100 get a black border version.

Nine players make up the Platinum Previews insert set, including rookies Cutter Gauthier, Jesper Wallstedt, Logan Stankoven, and Celebrini on a Team Canada card. 10 different parallels can also be found.

There are apparently no Trophy Winners patches this year, but you can look for 25 new Team Logo patches (1:576 hobby) plus an all-new 25-card set of First Round Draft manufactured patches (1:192 hobby).

With so much revealed on the checklist, I am curious to see if there will be any Easter eggs to discover this year.
